Developing Weld

Crucial to Weld's success are the relationships we have with our Real Estate Developer allies who donate temporary use of vacant houses. This partnership allows Weld to keep overhead lean and our programs flourishing.

That's not all.

You benefit as well. When you donate the temporary use of a property to Weld you no longer have to worry about squatters. You no longer receive calls from angry neighbors. And, you transform lives.

Wait, there's more.

Weld's homes are designated by King County as Transitional Housing. This means that under RCW 84.36.043 your property may qualify for tax exemption. We'll even file the paperwork for you. Yes, really.

Oh, one more thing.

Along with the property tax exemption, as a 501(c)3 organization we're also able to provide you with an in-kind gift receipt for the fair market rental value of the home over the period it's donated.
