TITLE: Strategic Partnerships and Operations Manager

LOCATION: Seattle, WA

ABOUT US:
Weld Seattle is a nonprofit organization that provides housing, employment, and resources conducive to recovery and successful reintegration back into society. Weld provides transitional housing and support for community members returning home from incarceration, and those in substance use recovery. We aim to create and engage in authentic communities of healing and accountability.

POSITION:
The Strategic Partnerships and Operations Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span  across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and ensure  project’s adherence to Weld’s organizational mission, vision and values throughout the full  systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project  change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process  improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. 

The Strategic Partnerships and Operations Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints  of time and cost and to achieve the proposed benefits defined by the Advisory Committee and the 1426 Visionary Committee. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members  to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones

• Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full  implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor  initiatives simultaneously 

• Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned  to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives 

• Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to  expand and mature targeted capabilities for the organization 

• Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes

• Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project  management team meetings 

• Oversee and facilitate Advisory team meetings to ensure alignment with project  schedule and goals 

• Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership and stakeholder groups 

• Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals  while maintaining alignment with industry best practices 

• Participate in and drive strategic partnership selections and proposals for engagement with 1426 

• Define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and services

• Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning,  external partner relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and  issues 

• Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables

• Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program  stakeholders and sponsors 

• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team 

• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up,  across and down multiple stakeholder groups 

• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment  demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence 

• Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and  interpersonal skills 

• Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands

• Proven ability to research best practices within and outside the organization to  establish benchmark data and best practices 

• Experience drafting and submitting project and budget proposals and reports

• Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and  within budget close 

• Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes,  including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for  performance 

• Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from corporate sponsors, elected officials,  team members, stakeholders and peers 

• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative  environment 

• Support diverse and inclusive work environment 

Required qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

• 3+ years of project and/or program management experience, including tracking and  planning projects 

• 3+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional  matrix environment 

• Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability to organizational  needs and mission 

• Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve project goals
